Arrests

Police arrested Jonathan Fable, 27, of Glendale on October 31 at 10:30 p.m. at Edgemere Road and Fenwick Place in Montauk and charged him with criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony, and resisting arrest and criminal mischief in the fourth degree, both misdemeanors, after they responded to a disturbance at Montauk Manor Resort Condominiums and found Mr. Fable, wearing only boxer shorts, on the ground fighting with an employee. Police said Mr. Fable refused to cooperate throughout the arrest, continually struggling with officers, kicking, flailing his arms, spitting and screaming, and attempting to kick out the windows of the police vehicle when detained. Police said they brought Mr. Fable to Stony Brook Hospital, where he had to be transported to the emergency room by two campus police officers and four orderlies. Police said Mr. Fable was issued an appearance ticket for court and released on his own recognizance.

Alejandro Fernandez, 28, of Wainscott was arrested on November 1 at 9:19 p.m. on Montauk Highway in Wainscott and charged with aggravated criminal contempt, a felony, and assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor. Police said they responded to a report of an injured woman in Wainscott around 6 p.m. but that when they arrived at the scene, the woman had left. Police said they then found the woman at the Cozy Cabins Motel in Wainscott, where Mr. Fernandez fled the scene through a back window. Police said the woman had injuries to her face and leg, and she was limping. While police were searching the area for Mr. Fernandez, he called the woman on her cell phone and when police intervened, Mr. Fernandez told them he would not turn himself in, police said. Police took the woman to the police station, where she filled out a report that Mr. Fernandez had beat her throughout the day. Police said that during the investigation they discovered there was an order of protection in effect that was set to expire four days after the incident. Police said they found Mr. Fernandez around the Wainscott residence when they returned to search for him later that night. Bail was set at $3,500.

Police arrested Mary Ellen Diprisco, 48, of Springs on November 1 at 11:46 p.m. at Route 27 and Green Hollow in East Hampton and charged her with DWI, a misdemeanor. Mark Summer, 50, of East Hampton was arrested on November 3 at 4 p.m. at Newtown Lane and Montauk Highway in East Hampton and charged with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors. Police said Mr. Summer was driving south on North Main Street, crossed into the shoulder, recovered back to the southbound lane and then crossed the double yellow line, separating the lanes. When the officer following Mr. Summer attempted to stop him, Mr. Summer continued on North Main Street and eventually turned into the parking lot on Newtown Lane, where police said they stopped him. Police said Mr. Summer failed sobriety tests and a DMV check of his license showed it had been suspended. Police said Mr. Summer repeatedly resisted arrest and being handcuffed by flailing his arms and legs. Police said Mr. Summer was released on his own recognizance.

Gregory Goldstein, 25, of Long Beach was arrested on Thursday at 12:38 a.m. at Route 114 and Deer Haven Court in East Hampton and charged with DWI and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, both misdemeanors.
