Eastport South Manor
Five students attending Eastport South Manor Junior-Senior High School will have their artwork on display during the 13th annual “Colors of Long Island” exhibit that will be featured at the Stony Brook Museum for Art and Carriages on Route 25A in Stony Brook.
High school seniors Jessica Lamprecht, Richard Wagner and Brian Marone, along with seventh-graders Zachary Valenti and Olivia Danz will have their mixed-media works on display for the entire length of the exhibit. The exhibit opens on Saturday, November 14 and will continue through December 27.
Additionally, Joseph A. Steimel, principal of the Eastport South Manor Junior-Senior High School, has announced that 20 students have been recognized by the College Board for their exceptional achievement on college-level Advanced Placement examinations.
Thirteen students earned the title of AP Scholar, which is awarded to those who receive grades of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. They are: John Bourquin, Leanna Bornkamp, Kyle Brewster, Carina Carbone, Catherine Graziose, Rebecca Kelly, Joshua Klein, Rachael Mott, Michael Neville, Brittany Paparatto, Kevin Seidler, Emily Spivak and Joseph Thilman.
Also, the following six students have earned the title AP Scholar with Honor: Tyler Caliendo, Christopher Esposito, Amber Jones, Jessica Lamprecht, Jose Mendez III and Joseph Scalamandre.
And one student—Steven Froelich—achieved the highest honor, AP Scholar with Distinction, according to school officials.
The Eastport South Manor Board of Education will meet on Wednesday, November 18, at 8 p.m., at the Eastport South Manor Junior-Senior High School on Moriches-Middle Island Road in Manorville.
