Traffic will be detoured on North Sea Road in Southampton Village on Tuesday, November 17, to allow construction crews to install conduit, Southampton Village Trustee Richard Yastrzemski said Monday.
Mr. Yastrzemski said the project will take around half the day and traffic will be detoured from North Sea Road to Willow Street and then to North Main Street.
The conduit will be used for an irrigation system for plantings on the median that was installed on the thoroughfare earlier this year.
“It’s not a big job,” Mr. Yastrzemski said. “They’re just putting pipe under the ground and covering it up.”
