Eastport
A Lakeview Court man reported to Southampton Town Police on November 16 that someone stole two rifles from his garage sometime between November 9 and November 16. The victim told police that he stored the two guns, valued at about $4,800, in the rafters of his garage on November 9 and discovered that they were missing on November 16. The victim reported that a neighbor said he saw a silver Ford pickup truck pull up in front of the house at around 8 a.m. on November 15. Police said they are investigating the incident.
Quiogue
A Quantuck Bay Road man reported to Southampton Town Police on November 17 that someone stole a quilt, five frying pans, a television and an old 10-speed bicycle, with a combined value of $150, from his home sometime between November 11 and November 17. The victim reported that someone pried upon the back door of the home and stole the items before also taking the bicycle from the back porch.
Westhampton
Dennis R. Neftleberg, 25, of Brentwood was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Tanners Neck Lane at 5:22 p.m. on November 17 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Mr. Neftleberg was originally stopped for having a broken taillight.
Hampton Bays
Robert S. Livingston, 44, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Montauk Highway at 12:22 a.m. on Monday and charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Police said an investigation revealed that Mr. Livingston was in possession of heroin.
Shannon Loetscher, 20, of Hampton Bays was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Wakeman Road at 5:45 p.m. on Friday and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Ms. Loetscher was originally stopped for a traffic infraction.
Daniel E. Rowe, 32, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Sherwood Road at 3:30 p.m. on November 17 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Police said they found heroin on the dashboard of Mr. Rowe’s vehicle.
Eric S. Lehr, 31, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Montauk Highway at 11:09 a.m. on November 16 and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said Mr. Lehr was originally stopped for not wearing a seat belt, and police found him with marijuana and a switchblade.
Michael Papajohn, 44, of Hampton Bays was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Montauk Highway at 9:43 a.m. on November 10 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Mr. Papajohn was originally stopped for talking on his cell phone while driving and not using a hands-free device.
Southampton
A Montauk Highway woman reported to Southampton Town Police on Sunday that somebody had used her credit card and spent $76 at the Best Buy in Riverhead on November 5. The victim reported that her credit card was not lost and she did not know how someone was able to use it. She said that she notified her credit card company. Police said they are investigating the incident.
Diego Marcelo Parra, 28, of Hampton Bays was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Sandy Hollow Road in Southampton at 12:03 p.m. on November 16 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and a speeding violation. Police said Mr. Parra, who also goes by the alias Diego Marcelo Buestan, was originally stopped for speeding.
An employee at the National Golf Links course on Sebonac Inlet Road reported to Southampton Town Police on November 18 that someone drove a vehicle across the fairway, damaging the grass near the 11th hole, sometime between 4:30 and 7 a.m. that day. The damage was estimated at around $250. Police said they are investigating the incident.
Noyac
Southampton Town Police charged the following individuals with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, last week: Gerald Destefano, 45, of East Hampton; Rafael Torres, 34, of Sag Harbor; and John T. Kestler, 41, of Sag Harbor.
