Good family. Good friends. Good food. Good times. And, of course, a sumptuous reprieve from the daily grind. Only four words come to mind at the moment: How sweet it was!

The Greater Westhampton Networking Association will host a free Networking Night on Thursday, December 3, at 5:30 p.m., at Finn’s on Old Riverhead Road in Westhampton Beach. The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Toys for Tots Cocktail Party on Friday, December 4, starting at 5 p.m., at the Westhampton Steakhouse on Mill Road. All are welcome to attend as long as they bring a new, unwrapped toy to benefit Toys for Tots. Free hors d’oeuvres, half-price drinks and live music from 7 to 10 p.m. will liven up the evening.

Additionally, members of the Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Committee are hosting a Holiday Toy Drive of their own that same evening, at the same venue, with those festivities beginning at 6:30 p.m. All donations are appreciated, including toys and presents for teenagers. In that same vein, Saint Mark’s Bright Beginnings Preschool of Westhampton Beach is busy collecting toys for donation to The Retreat of East Hampton and for several of the “Adopt-A-Family” programs in the community. Toys may be dropped off at the school on Main Street between Monday and Friday, from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted through Saturday, December 19. The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Hamptons Interfaith Council, will hold a Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting on Saturday, December 5, at 6:30 p.m., on the Village Green on Main Street. Guest speakers will include Father Joseph Mirro of the Immaculate Conception Church in Quiogue, Rabbi Avraham Bronstein of the Hamptons Synagogue and Westhampton Beach Village Mayor Conrad Teller. The Westhampton Beach High School chorus will lead attendees in Christmas carols and Hanukkah songs before the arrival of Santa Claus who will have some help from his friends at the Westhampton Beach Fire Department. And East End Hospice will hold its Tree of Lights Celebration honoring the memory of friends and family members with tributes, music and more on Sunday, December 6, at 2:30 p.m., also at the Village Green on Main Street in Westhampton Beach. A Christmas Bazaar and Tea will take place on Saturday, December 5, from 1:30 to 4 p.m., at the Westhampton Presbyterian Church on Meeting House Road. Decorated wreaths, gift items, jewelry and baked goods will be for sale. Don’t miss the cookie walk! For additional information, call 288-2576.

The Remsenburg Garden Club will hold a Wreath, Bake and Boutique Sale on Saturday, December 5, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at the Remsenburg Academy on South Country Road. Traditional wreaths with a variety of festive bows will be available for $35 each. Della Robbia wreaths cost $50 each. Bideawee will host its annual Photos with Santa Day on Saturday, December 5, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Westhampton shelter on Old Country Road. All kids and pets are welcome to snap a photo with Kris Kringle for a $10 donation. Proceeds will benefit Bideawee’s shelter and adoption center. Call 325-0200, ext. 118.

The Quogue Emporium’s 17th annual Christmas Celebration will be held on Saturday, December 5, with Santa’s arrival by boat promptly at noon at Hampton Watercraft and Marine on Montauk Highway in Westhampton Beach. And don’t forget that Family Counseling Services of Westhampton Beach will throw its annual Holiday Benefit Party on Saturday, December 5, at 7 p.m., at the Restaurant at the Inn at Quogue. This year’s benefit will honor Lori and Frank Moschetti of Remsenburg. Festivities will include cocktails, dinner and dancing. Tickets are $150 per person. Westhampton Beach residents and businesses are invited to participate in the village’s eighth annual Holiday Lighting Contest. Judging will take place on Friday, December 18. Residents and business owners must have their holiday lights turned on between 5 and 10 p.m. that night. Prizes will be given out during the trustees’ meeting on Thursday, January 7.
