Southampton Village Police discovered 20 streetlight covers shot out along Gin Lane, First Neck Lane, Meadow Lane and Coopers Neck Lane following a phone call they received on November 18 at 12:13 a.m. Each light cover costs about $100 to replace. Police are investigating.

The manager of CVS on Main Street told Southampton Village Police on Friday that a stocky man, usually wearing a gray sweatshirt and khaki pants, comes into the store and steals perfume by taking the bottles out of the boxes and then putting the empty boxes on the shelves. The manager said that the man has stolen more than 50 bottles perfume, worth about $350. Police are investigating.
