Fire commissioner vote held next Tuesday, east of the canal

Elections for fire commissioners in East End fire districts will be held on Tuesday, December 8.

In the Southampton Fire District, Fire Commissioner David Price’s five-year term is expiring. Mr. Price said he is running unopposed for reelection.

Commissioner elections in Southampton will be held at the Tuckahoe School on Magee Street on December 8 from 5 to 9 p.m., according to the district website.

North Sea Fire Commissioner Ed Dumunda said fellow Commissioner Greg Robins’s five-year term expires this year. He is running for his position unopposed, Mr. Dumunda said.

Polls for the election will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. at the North Sea Fire Department Firehouse, located on Noyac Road, Mr. Dumunda said.

Farther east in Bridgehampton, Fire Commissioner John Muse’s five-year term is up this year, according to Commissioner Clifford Foster. No one has stepped up to challenge Mr. Muse, Mr. Foster said.

Voting for the election will be held at the Bridgehampton Fire Department Firehouse on School Street in Bridgehampton on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Sag Harbor Fire District and Fire Department officials did not return phone calls before publication.

Write-in candidates are permitted in all of the fire commissioner elections.
