In 1994, William Quigley opened the artist run space Mayb Gallery in Los Angeles. A month later, director Dan Bernier took over and renamed the gallery AB. Though critically acclaimed and cutting-edge, AB Gallery closed because most of the artists were offered shows by more established dealers and museums globally.
Now, for the first time in 25 years, AB Gallery will host an exhibition ... and it will be on the East End. On Saturday, August 3, AB Gallery NY will present “God Always Knows” at the Schenck Fuel property in East Hampton. The exhibition includes new works by Stanley Casselman from his Chrome Series, new portraits by William Quigley, and the sculptures of Michael Gitlin. Also on view in the fuel yard will be “Gallery Cubed,” an installation by Nathan Sinai Rayman with works by Lee Baker and Catherine Borowski.
The exhibition opens with a reception on Saturday, August 3, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Schenck Fuels, 62 Newtown Lane, East Hampton. For more information call 917-795-8183.
