Directed by Thor Klein, “Adventures of a Mathematician” is a film that tells the warmhearted story of Polish immigrant and mathematician Stan Ulam, who moved to the United States in the 1930s. In his new life, Stan deals with the difficult losses of family and friends, all while helping to create the hydrogen bomb and the first computer.

“Adventures of a Mathematician” will be screened on Sunday, August 2, at 8:30 p.m. at the Hampton Synagogue Jewish Film Festival. The screening will take place as a drive-in at Westhampton Beach’s Francis Gabreski Airport. Admission is free, but registration is required. To reserve, call 631-288-0534 ext. 10.
