Artists Louise Eastman and Erica-Lynn Huberty will lead a celebration of spring at the second annual “Airing of the Quilts” on Saturday, April 20, at the Arts Center at Duck Creek in Springs. A day of creativity, storytelling, and community connection, all are welcome to participate. Rain date is April 21.

Arrive at Duck Creek between 9 and 11 a.m. to hang your quilt and collect it at the end of the day by 5 p.m. If sharing a treasured quilt, remain nearby while it’s on display at Duck Creek. All quilts must be tagged with the exhibitor’s name, phone number and email.

Duck Creek also invites guests to take part in an Earth Day project to “Air Your Grievances.” Help create a community quilt by collaging, drawing, painting, quilting, embroidering or expressing your thoughts on how to protect the Earth on a provided square piece of fabric. Squares will be showcased on April 20, and sewn into the community quilt for display on Earth Day 2025.

Arts Center at Duck Creek is at 127 Squaw Road in East Hampton. Visit duckcreekarts.org for details.
