Art Groove This Weekend At Ashawagh Hall

Contemporary art by 21 artists, including paintings by distinguished sculptor Hans Van de Bovenkamp, American painter and underground comix creator David Geiser, and former New York Times illustrator and artist Charles Waller, will be on view in a show called “Art Grove” at Ashawagh Hall on Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14.

“Art Groove” mixes musical, performance and visual art to create a social experience and this year’s featured artists are: Beth Barry, Laura Benjamin, Barbara Bilotta, Rosalind Brenner, Michael Cardacino, Nadine Daskaloff, Paul Dempsey, David Geiser, Pearl Golden, Phyllis Hammond, Joan Kraisky, Frank Latorre, Geralyne Lewandowski, Michael McDowell, Jim McGarvey, Joyce Riamondo, Sarah Jaffe Turnbull, Hans Van De Bovenkamp, Charles Waller, Josephine Wojtusiak, and Mark Zimmerman.

The opening reception is Saturday, April 13 from 6 to 11 p.m. and will begins with live music by “The King Bees” (a rhythm and blues band featuring Grammy winner Frank Latorre), followed by a dance party featuring DJ G-Funk’s dance mix.
