The Neo-Political Cowgirls’ 2022 summer, outdoor production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will take place in East Hampton Village from July 21 to August 7. Sign-ups for auditions are now open and local talent of all varieties are invited to take part, particularly dancers and excellent movers age10 to 22 for populating the “Squad of Fairies” who are integral to creating the physical magic and wild fun of this production’s interpretation.

Auditions will be Sunday, April 10, 1 to 4 p.m. at Hampton Ballet Theatre School, upstairs in the Bridgehampton Community House, 2368 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton.

Preregistration is required, no drop-ins will be seen unless time permits. Rehearsals begin early June with a handful of Zoom readings in May. Actors should prepare a short poem, Shakespearean text, or monologue and be dressed to move. If auditioning for a role other than the Fairy Squad, prepare a Shakespeare monologue from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Sign up by emailing info@npcowgirls.org and available times will be provided.
