Visitors attending the East Hampton film festival this week will find a literary addition to their stay, as Bedside Reading is offering a curated collection of books placed in guest rooms at participating Hamptons hotels. The initiative aims to connect readers with stories that complement the storytelling spirit of the festival.

Guests staying at the Baker House 1650, Journey East Hampton, The Maidstone, Mill House Inn, Southampton Inn, 1708 House, The Capri Southampton, Marram Montauk, Beachcomber Resort & Spa, and Hotel Moraine will receive complimentary copies of select titles.

This fall’s featured books include Christine Stringer’s “Charity Trickett Is Not So Glamorous,” Patricia Leavy’s “Cinematic Destinies,” Mary V. Slinkard’s “Her Final Gamble,” Dr. Patricia V. Smith’s “I Persist,” Marc Rosenberg’s “Kyd’s Game,” Mary Curran Hackett’s “Proof of Heaven,” Dr. Rachel Melvald’s “Neurodesign: The Art and Science of Harmonious Living,” Sarah V. Barnes’s “She Who Rides Horses,” Hal Glatzer’s “The Nest” and Shelly Snow Pordea’s “The Night We Met.”

Founded in 2017, Bedside Reading partners with hotels to place books by a mix of bestselling and emerging authors directly into the hands of travelers. The program aims to enhance the guest experience through reading and to connect visitors with new voices in literature. For more information, visit bedsidereading.com.
