WLNG will present Lynn Blue Band performing in Sag Harbor’s Marine Park on Tuesday, September 5 (aka Tumbleweed Tuesday). The free evening, from 6 to 8 p.m., will celebrate WLNG’s 60th anniversary.

The band features Lynn Blue on lead vocals, Dave Portocarrero on guitar and vocals, Jim Nanos on bass and vocals, Bob Golden on drums and special guest Mike DiMeo on keys. The show will ignite the stage, bring the community together and celebrate the radio station’s birthday. There will also be food trucks on hand offering a variety of options.

Lynn Blue Band promises an unforgettable night of diverse musical entertainment. Locals can expect to be taken on a fun journey through the hits of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The band will play an array of original music, reggae vibes, rock ’n’ roll, and soulful R&B tunes.

“We love this community and have been part of its unique fabric for 60 years,” said meteorologist Bill Evans, who owns the radio station. “Our concert series was a big hit this summer so we thought we’d keep it going.”

“We’re thrilled to bring a fusion of genres to Marine Park, and celebrate WLNG’s anniversary — the station supports local live music and we’re grateful for that,” added Lynn Blue, who lives in Montauk.

The concert is expected to draw music enthusiasts, families and friends from across the East End. Marine Park, with its waterfront backdrop, provides the perfect setting for an evening of entertainment under the stars. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs and dancing shoes as they prepare to welcome fall by immersing themselves in an eclectic mix of musical genres.

Marine Park is on Bay Street in Sag Harbor.
