Hannah Cook, a 2010 Pierson High School graduate who cut her teeth in scenic design in Sag Harbor, went on to graduate from Muhlenberg College with a degrees in Theater and Studio Art. The designer is poised to make her New York City debut working on scenic design for a show in the New York International Fringe Festival.
Ms. Cook is currently working with writer and performer Matthew Dicken and director Arthur Strimling on a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to make “butyou’reaman or The Seven Men I Came Out to in India” a reality. The goal is to raise $5,000. As of Monday morning, the campaign had earned $2,929 through 69 backers with just 12 days to go. The campaign must be funded by August 1.
