The 2016 Freak Out Let’s Dance FOLD Festival, scheduled for August 12 through August 14 at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead, has officially been postponed, according to an announcement made by organizers on July 7.
According to the announcement, the postponement is temporary, although a future date has yet to be announced and all tickets are being refunded.
The concert was scheduled to feature DNCE, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Bette Midler. The festival launched last year with acts including Beck, Keith Urban and Pharrell. Beck was one of several artists, including Mr. Rodger’s own band, Chic, the Thompson Twins, Angie Stone and Incognito to perform at a June FOLD festival in London.
With the postponement, a planned FOLD festival Emerging Artists contest, advertised to bring local musicians into the festival gold, will also be canceled. Entry fees, collected by the non-profit East End Arts, will be refunded.
