Hamptons Jazz Fest Presents Matt Wilson Quartet at The Church

​On Thursday, August 10, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Hamptons Jazz Fest will present award-winning drummer and bandleader Matt Wilson and his quartet in concert at The Church in Sag Harbor.

Wilson has released 13 albums as a bandleader, and as a sideman he has played alongside several legendary names in jazz such as Wynton Marsalis, Lee Konitz, Joe Lovano, Pat Metheny, Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, John Scofield, Joanne Brackeen, and Herbie Hancock. Wilson was named 2018 Musician of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association and his album Honey and Salt (Music Inspired By the poetry of Carl Sandburg), won the JJA’s Album of the Year Award.

Tickets are $25 for members of The Church and $30 for nonmembers ($15 students and young patrons) at thechurchsagharbor.org. The Church is located at 48 Madison Street, Sag Harbor.
