The nonprofit Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild in Cutchogue on the North Fork will host a Historical Art Exhibition and Sale from Saturday, March 26, through Sunday, April 3, with more than 100 original works available created by local artists and art on view by famed Peconic Bay Impressionists.

“This is really huge,” says painter and guild president Bob Kuhne. “In addition to the sale, we’ll be exhibiting the guild’s archived collection of historic works for the very first time.”

On Saturday, March 26, at 1 p.m. author and art dealer Terry Wallace will give a lecture about the works, followed by a signing of his three books “Caroline M. Bell and the Peconic Bay Impressionists,” “Helen M. Kroeger & Otto J. Kurth, The Anchorage Studio & Peconic Bay Impressionism,” and “Cappy, The Life and Art of C. Hjalmar Amundsen.”

In addition, the Spring Members Exhibition, featuring select art pieces, will be on display from Saturday, April 9 through May 31. On April 9, the public is invited to celebrate the 74th anniversary open house at the guild, one of this country’s oldest continuously operating arts and crafts guild. This celebration continues over the weekend of April 9 and 10 with a little food and a lot of fun.

Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild is at 28265 Main Road, Cutchogue. Visit oldtownartsguild.org for details.
