The Montauk Library will present “Harmonic Rhapsodies” featuring Jiayi He’s Harmonica & String Ensemble on Sunday, November 9, from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Suzanne Koch Gosman Community Room, located on the library’s lower level.

The program will feature masterworks by classical composers such as Massenet, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky and Chopin, as well as contemporary selections by Ennio Morricone, Stevie Wonder, U2 and others. The performance is suitable for family audiences.

Jiayi He, an internationally acclaimed harmonica virtuoso and winner of numerous awards, has performed at premier venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, Citi Field and the United Nations General Assembly Hall. He has appeared as a soloist with orchestras across the globe and has been featured on NBC-TV, PBS and America’s Got Talent.

The ensemble features Jillian Johnson and Martin Noh on violin, Pamela Hamilton on viola and Paul Lee on cello. Johnson has performed with the Grammy Award-winning Eighth Blackbird and the American Pops Orchestra and is currently pursuing her doctorate at New York University. Noh, a founding member of the award-winning Kodak Quartet, has performed across North America and Europe. Hamilton, also a vocalist, performs with the Harlem Gospel Choir and Jazz at Lincoln Center and has been a teaching artist for more than 25 years. Lee, principal cellist with the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, has appeared at major venues in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy and New Zealand.

The concert is free and open to the public. Registration is available at montauklibrary.org/events. The Montauk Library is located at 871 Montauk Highway in Montauk.
