This September, Offshore Art & Film in Montauk will offer its second annual edition, showcasing a fusion of art, film and fashion.
To kick off the season, Offshore is setting the stage with a series of three unique “Offshore Fashion Nights.” The inaugural soiree will be held on Saturday, June 24, from 5 to 9 p.m. on the grounds of the Montauk Beach House. Diane Ferraro, founder of Tarot Tauk, will emcee this interactive affair which will showcase the visionary works of three fashion designers: Laraine Gordon of Coast Hampton; Chris Shouler of the Montauk Group; and Jennifer Deluca of Glam Mom New York. Attendees at the event will be treated to model presentations and engaging opportunities to hear directly from the designers themselves.
Adding to the ambiance, the night will be further elevated by the music of DJ Woogz, a live podcast by “Highly Educated Podcast” and more. Artwork will also be on display by artist/performer J.O. Jerusalem.
In addition to the music and the models, Offshore will also be offering a silent auction throughout the evening, featuring prizes contributed by local restaurants and businesses. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to engage in games and unlock rewards through Offshore’s “fashion wheel,” stationed on site.
Two more “Offshore Fashion Nights” will be held this summer, on Saturday, July 15, and Saturday, August 19. This year’s Offshore Art & Film Festival will run September 15 to 17 at venues throughout Montauk, presenting a curated selection of events at handpicked locations around the hamlet. As a platform, Offshore Art & Film stands as an influential voice for independent filmmakers, local artists and emerging fashion designers.
At its core, Offshore Art & Film is more than an artistic endeavor; it is a driving force for the cultural and economic growth of the community. Offshore’s impact will benefit local charities and organizations, such as the Montauk Library, the Montauk Skatepark Coalition, and the Montauk Playhouse.
