The Sara Nightingale Gallery will hold its grand opening in Sag Harbor on Saturday, January 14, after relocating from its longtime Water Mill space.
The gallery’s first exhibition features the photography of Aaron Kresberg, a senior at the Ross School, who documented endangered animal species in Namibia.
Ms. Nightingale received a permit from the Sag Harbor Village Board of Historic Preservation and Architectural Review on Thursday, January 12, to place a sign identifying her gallery in her window. She said in a release all of the proceeds from sales of Aaron’s work will benefit the Rare and Endangered Species Trust and will be used to cover the cost of a new aviary for several species of endangered birds.
The gallery opening is from 5 to 7 p.m. at 26 Main Street, the storefront formerly occupied by Beach Bungalow. This show runs through February 8.
