Local favorite Student Body returns to Guild Hall for a night of high-energy musical performance intertwined with moments of introspection and reverence. The show on Friday, October 4, at 7 p.m. will also pay homage to the artistry of film with a simultaneous screening of “The Passing” by Sirad Balducci, creating a multi-faceted experience that celebrates both the spirit of rock and the vibrancy of the community.
“The Passing” is a lyrical exploration of how souls traverse through time, experiencing one another and challenging the linearity of existence. Through the artful use of Super 8 footage from the Feleppa family archives from Amagansett in the 1960s and 1970s, the film crafts a visual and emotional tapestry that underscores how memories keep loved ones ever-present. It celebrates the ephemeral beauty of each moment and the timeless connection between past and present. Featured in Sirad Balducci’s film are Tim Feleppa as a young boy, Sue Feleppa, Gian Carlo Feleppa, and Alex Feleppa with cinematography by Richard Feleppa, and music by Tim Feleppa
Tickets are $25 to $28 at guildhall.org. Guild Hall is at 158 Main Street, East Hampton.
