The Complete Unknowns Come to Bay Street in Sag Harbor

author on Sep 4, 2019

Going to Bay Street Theater to hear The Complete Unknowns, the East End’s favorite Bob Dylan tribute band, has become something of a tradition during HarborFest, Sag Harbor’s annual maritime festival.

With September once again on our doorstep, it’s time to welcome back HarborFest and The Complete Unknowns who are slated to perform at Bay Street on Saturday, September 7, at 8 p.m.

Led by front man and founding member Michael Weiskopf on lead vocals, guitar and harmonica, the band also features guitarist Randolph Hudson III, keyboardist Stuart Sherman, bass player Taka Shimizu, guitarist Klyph Black, James Benard on drums, percussionist Alex Sarkis and vocalist Lauren Matzen, plus assorted guest performers.

This time around, The Complete Unknowns will serve up their celebration covering Dylan's material from three important ’70s albums including “Planet Waves,” “Blood on These Tracks,” and “Desire.” Fans should also expect to hear many of Dylan’s well-known and deep tracks for a complete experience showcasing his songs and the musicianship that brought them to life. Arguably one of the most prolific songwriters of our time, Bob Dylan’s work has been interpreted by many from Jimi Hendrix to Nina Simone — and The Complete Unknowns are on a mission to entertain while maintaining the freshness and integrity of Dylan's work.

Tickets for the show are $25 to $35 in advance ($35 to $45 on day of show) at (631) 725-9500 and baystreet.org. Bay Street Theater is on Long Wharf in Sag Harbor.
