On view now through March 31 at the John Jemain Memorial Library is “The Lunch Club,” an exhibition of photography produced this year by Pierson High School’s advanced photography students.

The title of the exhibition refers to the meeting time of the class every other day during Pierson’s lunch period. The class is taught by artist and educator Peter Solow, and the work in the exhibition addresses a variety of subjects and content, from portraiture, landscape, architecture to still life, family and simply experiments with light, shadow and shutter speed.

The exhibition is a kind of self-portrait of the kids in the class, their predilections and their passions, a documentation of their lives. As their photography is a work in progress, in truth, so are they. It was funded by the Donald Reutershan Educational Trust.

John Jermain Memorial Library is at 201 Main Street, Sag Harbor. Visit johnjermain.org for details.
