Summer may be ending, but Suffolk Theater is not slowing down. September is packed with a brand new slate of shows and movies to enjoy every week. Tickets and more information are available at thesuffolk.org. Suffolk Theater is at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.

G.E. Smith and The American Blues – Thursday, September 7, at 8 p.m.

Bandleader for “Saturday Night Live,” sideman to Bob Dylan, guitarist for Hall & Oates and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters — G.E. Smith is a true master of his craft. See him up close and personal along with his trio for one unforgettable night chock full of the American Blues.

The Ultimate Queen Celebration – Friday, September 8, at 8 p.m.

Back by popular demand and featuring Yvan Pendault singing Freddie Mercury, The Ultimate Queen Celebration is bar-none the greatest tribute to Queen on the scene today. When founding member of Queen Brian May himself says, “He’s the kind of performer you dream of finding,” you know it’s a show you have to see to believe.

The Brit Pack – Saturday, September 9, at 8 p.m.

The most authentic British Invasion experience on this side of the Atlantic, The Brit Pack takes audiences on a mesmerizing journey through decades of music from iconic British performers — from the swinging 1960s to the biggest hits of today — with extraordinary talent and unwavering passion. Hear the nostalgic tunes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Police and The Who, alongside Amy Winehouse, Radiohead and many more.

Blockbuster Movie Series: “Avatar, The Way of Water” – Wednesday, September 13, at 7 p.m.

This 2022 American epic science fiction film directed and produced by James Cameron follows a blue-skinned humanoid Na’vi named Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) as he and his family, under renewed human threat, seek refuge with the aquatic Metkayina clan of Pandora, a habitable exomoon on which they live.

Long Island Comedy Festival – Friday, September 15, at 8 p.m.

Four comedians, one hysterical night of comedy. Paul Anthony (host of Long Island Comedy Festival), Chris Roach (“Kevin Can Wait”, Kevin James Comedy Tour), Rob Falcone (HBO, Showtime, national headliner) and Dennis Rooney (direct from the New York City comedy scene) take the stage for a whole lot of laughs.

Average White Band – Saturday, September 16, at 8 p.m.

Three time-Grammy nominated Average White Band is known as one of the top soul, R&B, and jazz-funk groups of all time. Come experience timeless hits like “Picking Up the Pieces,” “Work to Do,” “A Love of Your Own,” “Cut the Cake,” “Soul Searching,” and more, live in person.

Blockbuster Movie Series: “Fool’s Paradise” – Wednesday, September 20, at 7 p.m.

This 2023 American satirical comedy film written and directed by Charlie Day in his directorial debut stars Day, Ken Jeong, Kate Beckinsale, Adrien Brody, Jason Sudeikis, Edie Falco, Jason Bateman, Common, Ray Liotta and John Malkovich. The film tells the story of a down-on-his-luck publicist who gets his lucky break when he discovers a mute man recently released from a mental health facility looks just like a method actor who refuses to leave his trailer.

Louis Prima Jr. and The Witnesses – Friday, September 22, at 8 p.m.

Jump, jive and wail the night away to the infectious rhythms and electrifying swing that Louis Prima Jr. brings to town. Complete with an open dance floor, you’ll be transported back in time to a bygone era where the spirit of high-octane jazz lives on and the party never stops.

Bad Animals, The Heart Tribute – Saturday, September 29, at 8 p.m.

When Ann Wilson told Bad Animals to “Have fun with it!”, they took it to “Heart.” Bad Animals is the greatest tribute to Heart on the scene today, performing hits like “Barracuda,” “Crazy On You,” “Magic Man,” “Alone,” and so many more to absolute perfection and then some.
