51v0yadrf-l-_sy344_bo1204203200_On November 5 at 5 p.m., Sag Harbor native, author Tom Clavin will return to Canio's Books to present his newest work, “Lucky 666: The Impossible Mission.”

Mr. Clavin’s new book, written with Bob Drury, describes the unlikely efforts of a few brave aviators stationed in the Pacific to build their own B-17 of junkyard parts and fly one of the most effective missions in the Pacific campaign.

It's "a book that reads like ‘The Dirty Dozen’ meets ‘Unbroken.’ I particularly admire the gritty details here about WWII aviation. Superb!," Rinker Buck, author of “The Oregon Trail,” and “Flight of Passage” wrote.

To honor Veterans' Day on November 11, Canio's Books will give a discount on books purchased by veterans. Also, those buying books to be inscribed to a veteran will receive a discount on their purchase.

Mr. Clavin and Mr. Drury have authored bestselling history books that include “The Heart of Everything That Is: The Untold Story of Red Cloud,” “An American Legend; Dark Noon: The Final Voyage of the Fishing Boat Pelican,” and “Last Men Out: The True Story of America's Heroic Final Hours in Vietnam” and more.

Canio's Books is located at 290 Main Street in Sag Harbor. For more information, contact Maryann or Kathryn at (631) 725-4926 or visit www.caniosbooks.com.
