Jennifer L. McDowell, 38, of Northwest Woods, was charged with felony aggravated DWI by East Hampton Town Police last Thursday night. Driving a 2016 Jeep on Swamp Road, McDowell lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree, police said. The first officer to respond suspected McDowell was possibly intoxicated and had her do roadside sobriety tests, which she reportedly failed. The charge against her is a felony because she was convicted of misdemeanor DWI in Southampton Town Justice Court in January last year. Police said Mobley Lieberman, driving a 2020 Cadillac SUV north on South Edison Street in downtown Montauk, ran the stop sign at Montauk Highway while turning right without signaling the turn, then swerved across the double yellow lines repeatedly as she headed east, after which the officer pulled her over.
