Jennifer L. McDowell, 38, of Northwest Woods, was charged with felony aggravated DWI by East Hampton Town Police last Thursday night. Driving a 2016 Jeep on Swamp Road, McDowell lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree, police said. The first officer to respond suspected McDowell was possibly intoxicated and had her do roadside sobriety tests, which she reportedly failed. The charge against her is a felony because she was convicted of misdemeanor DWI in Southampton Town Justice Court in January last year.
