EAST HAMPTON VILLAGE — The Queens duo arrested by East Hampton Village Police on November 10, accused of shoplifting tens of thousands of dollars worth of handbags and purses from the Balenciaga store on Newtown Lane, have both been indicted by a grand jury in Riverside, according to court records. Lilliana Varela Garcia, 41, of Corona remains in custody in Suffolk County’s correctional facility in Yaphank. EAST HAMPTON VILLAGE — Village Police received a report of an erratic driver on Newtown Lane headed south from Stratton Square. The caller said that the four-door Toyota in question had turned into the Reutershan parking lot. An officer was dispatched to that location and located the car. The driver, a youth, the officer reported, did not have a driver’s license or even a learner’s permit. The officer issued a summons for unlicensed driving.
