Wilmer Verdugo, Skylar Hand, Samuel Rafferty, Aileen Bermeo, Patrick Conlon, Maya Diaz, Elijah Jones, Valentina Vergara, Emma Hand and Alessa Picco have been honored by NYSCAME.
Several East Hampton High School students have been selected to participate in the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education (NYSCAME) All-County Honors choir, band and orchestra, as well as All-State music festivals.
Representing East Hampton in the All-County Choir are Wilmer Verdugo, Samuel Rafferty, Valentina Vergara, Skylar Hand, Patrick Conlon, Alessa Picco, Emma Hand, and Maya Diaz. Aileen Bermeo was selected for the All-County Band, where she will perform on flute.
Choir director Melanie Freyre and band director Christopher Mandato expressed pride in their students’ dedication and hard work, which led to this achievement.
The All-County and All-State festivals recognize top high school musicians across New York State, providing opportunities for intensive rehearsal and performance with peers from other schools.
