I would like to correct an error that was included in my Letter to the Editor published last week [“Climate Winners,” Letters, March 18].
I wrote that the percentage increase in jet operations at KHTO, East Hampton Airport, in January 2021 was 88 percent. In fact, there was a whopping 290 percent increase in jets in January, and 88 percent in February 2021, compared to the same period in pre-pandemic 2020.
The statistics are from East Hampton Airport management, but the error was all mine. My apologies to all.
