School News, August 11, Sag Harbor And East Hampton Town

The University at Albany held its 178th commencement in May and several local students were among the graduates. They are:

Joseph Berti of East Hampton, who graduated cum laude with a degree in emergency prep, homeland security and cybersecurity; Gabriel Connors of East Hampton earned a bachelor’s degree in urban studies and planning; and Catherine Tremblay of East Hampton earned a master’s degree in information science.

Emily Driver of East Hampton and Phoebe Bennett of Sag Harbor were among the graduates at the SUNY Oneonta commencement. Driver earned a degree, with honors, in childhood education. Bennett graduated, cum laude, with a degree in arts in Africana and Latino students and social justice studies.

Renny Murphy of East Hampton was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at University of Maryland Global Campus.

India Galesi-Grant of Sag Harbor, Ravi MacGurn of Amagansett, and Luke Weinstein of East Hampton were named to the Tufts University dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.

Jake Weinstein and Luke Weinstein, both of East Hampton, graduated from Tufts University in May. Jake Weinstein earned a degree in economics and Luke in international relations.
