This represents just another example of your pathetic coverage of increasingly dangerous air traffic above the homes of East End residents. How is it that you can document insignificant attempts to beautify parking lots and silly sign vandalisms [“Serial Vandal Defaces East Hampton Airport Sign For Third Time,” 27east.com, August 12] while completely missing attempts to rein in dangerous operations?
The actions taken by East Hampton Airport Manager Jim Brundige, Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc, and airport liaisons Jeff Bragman and Sylvia Overby on September 24, banning an airport operator from future airport use, seems far more newsworthy. All of them are to be commended for putting the safety of their constituents ahead of profit and pretty parking lots.
That’s news.

Often missing in public policy discourse is human engagement and why it’s so vital. Well-meaning officials have navigated pickleball noise fears on public property, nonconforming (now acceptable) commercial facade colors, and concerns over hanging out to consume organic wine at...
