Passenger in Amagansett Motorcycle Crash Succumbs to Injuries

The woman who was thrown from a motorcycle in Amagansett last week has succumbed to her injuries, East Hampton Town Police said. Nicole Greenwood, 35, died on October 24, three days after she was thrown from the back of the motorcycle on which she was a passenger. She was not wearing a helmet, according to police. The driver of the motorcycle, Robert Plachy, 31, of Amagansett, suffered only minor injuries but was charged with DWI. A motorcycle passenger was left in critical condition after being tossed from the rear seat when the bike crashed on Friday night in Amagansett, according to East Hampton Town Police. The driver of the motorcycle was charged with DWI following the crash. Robert Chase Plachy, 31, of Amagansett was driving a Honda motorcycle east on Bluff Road when he lost control of the bike.
