Learn about heat pump applications where intelligent electrification provides better financial results (and lower carbon emissions) than historical fossil fuel or electric resistance solutions. Learn how heat pumps can efficiently heat domestic hot water, warm seasonal pools, and condition occupied spaces using only electricity. Emphasis is placed on local applications with high energy consumption, including providing year-round comfort and improved aesthetics in larger projects incorporating high-efficiency geothermal HVAC. These all-electric applications are highly sustainable when combined with renewable grid energy and/or rooftop solar.
The featured case study adds pool heat and solar power to an existing project, eliminating the electric bill for the home and the carbon footprint for the electricity used in the home and pool. We will also look at an older South Fork architectural project that has had Geothermal HVAC since initial construction was completed in 2008.
