Colm Rowan Fine Art will present The Graces by Angela China, an exhibition of the artist’s newest works created over the past year. Twelve paintings will be on display. The artist will be in attendance to greet visitors and talk about the influences and inspiration behind her work. A fully illustrated, color catalog of the paintings with a foreword by Colm Rowan will accompany the show.
Angela China was a well-known New York street artist called Gumshoe who later studied at the New York Academy of Art. Transitioning from the street to the studio brought about a metamorphosis in her painting as it changed from a highly graphic, depictive style to a more nuanced, abstract figurative form of expression.
