In Keeping with Grain / Stick + Stone’s environmentally conscious ethos, Scott Bluedorn has curated “Aprés Surf” a collection of artists work that give
an “afterlife” to the material objects of surfing. Often composed of toxic and long-lasting chemicals and polymers, the materials traditionally used
in surfboards, wetsuits and various accessories can find new use through creative outputs and be saved from the landfill.
The artists involved are all surfers or intimately familiar with the matter of surfing, and share an environmental awareness in their work.
