The Chair Of Hope Project is hosting an evening of remembrance, and of activism on Saturday, April 22nd, from 5-7pm, at The Remsenburg Academy, 130 S Country Rd, Remsenburg. “The Chair of Hope Project," an art installation in memory of, and in solidarity with, all victims of gun violence, and the many others affected by it. The exhibit specifically represents the 19 children and two teachers recently killed in Uvalde, Texas, and will be composed of 21 chairs, painted by local artists, to honor the lives lost to this American tragedy.
The reception will be filled with art, music, poetry and inspirational speeches, as our community comes together to raise awareness for change, and provide a forum in which to STOP GUN VIOLENCE NOW!
Everytown, Moms Demand Action and former Executive Director of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence Jackie Hilly will join us with information and ways we can all do our part to end gun violence now.
The exhibit runs April 21st - May 14th at the Remsenburg Academy.
