Each week we will read a chapter or two from the new children’s chapter book, The Midnight Hour by Benjamin Read and Laura Trinder. Strange letters begin to arrive at home and Emily’s parents are off to investigate. But when her parents don’t come back, Emily is left alone to face the weird strangers who are suddenly appearing at her door. Emily must set off on a journey to find her parents and in doing so she discovers the secret world of the Midnight Hour- a Victorian London frozen in time full of magic and monsters! Armed with just her packed sandwiches and pet hedgehog, Emily must escape bloodthirsty creatures, figure out family secrets and save the world.
