Chris Coffee’s boutique Sage & Madison The Barn is a very busy place! On June 19 it was a stop on the Sag Harbor Historical Society Garden Tour AND it participated in the Arts & Crafts Sale in nearby Marine Park.
On Sunday, June 20, The Barn will host a booksigning with co-author of The Hamptons Kitchen, Stacy Dermont noon-4pm. (The Arts and Crafts Sale itself is open 9am-5pm.)
Stop by The Barn's booth for the finest locally handmades and a signed copy of this bestselling cookbook and guide to the East End.
Additionally, Coffee has decided to launch a series of “sip and shop” events at the boutique. On a given day, for a couple golden hours, Coffee will donate 10% of profits from sales to a local nonprofit. The “sipping” will be non-alcoholic—patrons can purchase an iced tea, iced coffee, or lemonade, from the takeout window. The series kicks off on Saturday, June 26, from 5-7pm, when 10% of profits will be donated to Liz Joyce’s Goat on a Boat Puppet Theater (GOAB) to support the new Puppet Truck and Mobile Stage.
Open seven days, The Barn's patrons can buy a drink and a treat—perhaps a handmade ice cream sandwich from the North Fork Chocolate Company—at the to-go window on the west side of the boutique; or come on in and luxuriate in a wide range of things to fill a gift basket—or a custom-made bicycle basket—including Mariage Frères teas, Louis Sherry chocolates, honey, garden supplies, handmade greeting cards, and doggie goods. Plus, Sage and Madison offers locally baked pies and one-of-kind pieces including hand-blown glass by Atelier Crestani.
The Hamptons Kitchen (Norton) is also available from area bookstores and from all major online booksellers in both print and digital formats.
