MM Fine Art is pleased to present Edwina Lucas: Recent Work, a solo exhibition of Lucas' recent large scale floral paintings. The exhibition will be on view May 29 through June 13 in Southampton, NY, with an opening reception Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 29, 6 to 8 PM.
Lucas was born and raised on Long Island, New York. The arts have always played a major role in her life. Lucas was taught oil painting at a young age by her mother and fell in love with the medium.
In 2013, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Skidmore College with a major in Studio Art and a minor in Art History. Her senior thesis earned honors from the department.
Today, Lucas lives and works in Sag Harbor, New York. She has exhibited her work in galleries and museums on the East End of Long Island. Her current body of work is a series of large-scale florals. Lucas makes an effort to work from life and in natural light.
Gallery hours: Monday 11am to 5pm, Thursday through Saturday 11am to 5pm, and Sunday 12 to 4pm. (Tuesday & Wednesday by appointment only)
