Felting is a use friendly technique that is simple to learn and create with .
Wool is a magical fiber that has tiny scales that stick together, which allows
the user to create a pattern from it on the felt using a needle tool .This
process of melding fibers together can be used to achieve a beautiful
watercolor effect on fabric .
Some popular felting projects include decorative pillows, quilts and jewelry.
Local fine artist and textile designer ,Oksana Danziger has been using this
technique for over 25 years.
In this workshop students will learn the nuno felting technique (wet
felting)over the course 2 hours and after you will take home a beautiful
felted flower.
Demonstration of technique and examples of the project will be presented
at the beginning of the class .
