Bideawee will host a free open house for the public to learn all about becoming a cat/dog foster parent. The event will take place at Pawcasso in Westhampton Beach, NY (Long Island). Light refreshments will be served.
Working from home or have some extra time and love to give? Bideawee is looking for foster families on Long Island and NYC who are willing to temporarily care for a dog or cat who is not yet ready for adoption, and provide that animal with the love and attention it needs to prepare for his or her future forever home. Bideawee's foster volunteers provide safe, loving, temporary homes to vulnerable dogs and cats during the most critical time in their lives. Every animal fostered makes room for another animal to be rescued and brought to the safety of Bideawee’s Adoption Centers.
Staff from Bideawee, one of the country’s oldest animal welfare and pet adoption organizations, will be on site to discuss how to become a foster parent to one of the cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies in its care. Community members will learn about how to apply, what is expected of a cat/dog foster parent, and how all of the expenses for foster pets are covered by Bideawee! They will also learn about Bideawee’s Fospice Program which places sick and elderly pets into warm, safe homes with animal lovers dedicated to making sure their special needs are met.
