Conscience Point is known to be the original meeting place of the Shinnecock and English settlers of Southampton in June of 1640. Join us for a paddling tour led by Chenae Bullock of Moskehtu Consulting who will take you on a journey through history to cover oral Indigenous history, Indigenous plant identification, Indigenous lifeways, and Indigenous songs. Participants can bring their own canoe or kayak, or at checkout you can rent a kayak provided by East End Explorer. If bringing your own vessel, please also bring your own paddles and life vests and everyone please bring sunscreen, hats, etc. There is no extra fee for bringing your own vessel. And note that no motorized boats are allowed. Paddlers are asked to arrive by 8:15am so that vessels can be offloaded, and everyone can be ready to hit the water at 9am. This event is Co-Sponsored by East End Explorer, Moskehtu Consulting, The North Sea Maritime Center and the Southampton History Museum.
