East End Underground, LTV’s landmark original-music show featuring local musicians is returning with a twist – for the first time, the taping will be before a live studio audience. On Friday, January 24th at 7pm, the public is invited to the taping of two popular Long Island funk bands, Funkin’ A and The Kenny Harris Project.
First, Funkin’A, the horn-driven regulars at the Great South Bay Music Festival, fresh from a stellar performance at the Paramount, will perform their own impressive brand of funky originals.
Next, The Kenny Harris Project, will slay with its own style of groove and original compositions. Kenny Harris is a legendary East End bassist and vocalist who has performed worldwide and has played, toured, and recorded with national artists covering multiple genres from Folk, Rock, Soul, R&B, and Jazz.
EHM radio personality Harry Wareing will host. EHM, The Beach, and BAZ radio stations, as well as SONIMAX event audio, are sponsors.
“East End Underground was my first production at LTV a few years ago,” says LTV’s Executive Director, Michael Clark, “so to revive it now, with a live audience, is very exciting and has been well received by the local community.”
LTV is at 75 Industrial Road in Wainscott. Ample parking is available.
