Gracie Mansion Conservancy partners with East End Photographers Group in an exciting new initiative to open up the space of Gracie Mansion for fellow creators to showcase their art. This is an opportunity for organizations to collaborate with Gracie Mansion Conservatory and continue its mission for historical preservation and cultural cultivation. East End Photographers Group, in existence for over thirty-five (35) years, will be exhibiting some of its members’ award winning photography.
This exhibit will portray all that makes New York City what it is today: Expressions of architecture, people, places and things that make our city unique.
The exhibition includes many genres such as, black and white, color, fine art, cityscape, and street photography with beautiful and creative images of The Statue of Liberty, Bow Bridge in Central Park, New York City’s subway, the New York Skyline, the Empire State Building, Grace Church, Washington Square Park, China Town, and the Chrysler Building.
The curator, Marilyn Stevenson, has been curating East End Photographers Group exhibitions for 20 years. She has curated several shows each year at New Century Artists Gallery, 530 W. 25th Street in Chelsea (New York City) over 15 years, where she had been the assistant director.
Gracie Mansion Conservancy stated it has a number 600+ visitors weekly and this is an opportunity for East End Photographers Group to be visible to all those who enter Gracie Mansion. It’s important for us at Gracie Mansion Conservancy to build on going relationships and we are elated to work with East End Photographers Group as they work to support our endeavors in the future of Gracie Mansion.
