Our Fabulous Variety Show (OFVS) is proud to announce its 2024 Summer Camp Series registration is open! Join us for weekly camps in July and for our end of summer musical “Frozen Jr.” Programming registration is weekly for various age groups, July 8 through August 2, with a 2-to-3 week performance camp available for performers interested in joining us for the production of “Frozen Jr.,” August 5 through August 23.
“Page to Stage” weekly camps allow students to dive into the creative process, hone their performance technique and share their own stories as they learn how to create an original show in just one short week. “Page to Stage” is open to students ages 5 to 10 and will be held July 8 to 12 and July 22 to 26. Camp will run from Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for each weekly series and culminate in a show sharing each Friday at 12:30 p.m.
Students ages 10 to 13 can take their dance technique to the next level in our “Dance Intensive.” The intensives are designed to hone, strengthen, and inspire with new choreography and guest teaching artists. Students will explore genres such as jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, ballet, and contemporary. The “Dance Intensives” will be held July 15 to 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and July 29 to August 2, from 9 a.m. to 1p.m.
Starting August 5, students can join OFVS for its musical camp production: “Frozen Jr.” Students can sign up for the full, three week experience with a lead role, or two weeks with an ensemble role. Lead roles will begin rehearsals on their lines August 5 with the ensemble joining August 12. The camp will run through August 23, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Performances will be held at the Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE) on Saturday, August 24. “Frozen Jr.” is open to ages 5 to 13 and gives new and seasoned performers the opportunity to learn all aspects of musical theater from vocal performance, dance choreography and acting technique.
Taught by professional teaching artists Anita Boyer, Kasia Klimiuk, Lucille Czerniuk, Jake Lorefice and more, the summer camps will take place at the OFVS Studio at Project MOST at 44 Meadow Way in East Hampton. Multi-week discounts, sibling rates, scholarships and OFVS Crew pricing is available!
