East End Hospice is dedicated to improving lives across Eastern Long Island through expert care, comfort and compassion for terminally ill patients and their families.
East End Hospice is the leading and most comprehensive hospice provider for Shelter Island and across more than 430 square miles of Eastern Long Island. East End Hospice cared for 751 patients, including 18 on Shelter Island, offered support to family and friends and provided grief and bereavement therapy to 350 clients in 2021. Hospice services are provided in patients’ homes, hospitals, and skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across the East End, and at our Kanas Center for Hospice Care, the region’s only dedicated hospice facility. East End Hospice’s licensed therapists offer grief and bereavement support for individuals and groups. Camp Good Grief, which began on Shelter Island, helps children navigate the loss of a loved one.
The Taking Care of Our Island Cocktail Party benefits all East End Hospice programs, including Camp Good Grief and the Kanas Center. Your support ensures that every member of our community has access to end-of-life care free of charge.
