Memorial Day: A Lifetime of Warfare
We live in a country which has been in one war or another for our entire lives. For some of us our memories begin with the stories of grandfathers and great uncles in WWI. They continue to fathers and uncles in WWII, and then to Korea, Vietnam and these Middle Eastern wars. How do we justify institutionalized killing? Is it ever justified? One of the answers is to respect and honor those who have fought for us. But there must be more.
