As part of the statewide RecruitNY initiative the Westhampton Beach Fire Department will open its doors to area residents on Sunday, April 24. Visitors will be able to learn about what it takes to become a volunteer firefighter in our community. Firefighters will be on hand to answer questions, demonstrate equipment, and offer tours of the Sunset Avenue firehouse. There will be firefighting and rescue demonstrations and firefighters will be on hand to discuss the benefits of volunteering as interior firefighters, exterior firefighters, and members of the fire police.
